Just thought I'd share a few links that I found interesting and informative as other than sharing my sadness and anger, there's nothing much else I can say right now. I have a few ideas for posts, so one may come, for now the below are on various subjects and sentiments from a range of authors.
*Historian Mary Elise Sarotte tells the inside story of the west’s efforts to secure a post-cold-war settlement — and how Putin seized on missteps and Russian grievances to destroy it.
*Yuval Noah Harari gives his passionate take on why he believes Vladimir Putin has already lost this war (conceptually speaking).
*Oliver Bullough spoke extensively on Ukraine in his book Moneyland, he goes in on corruption in Ukraine and the links with London in line with his new book, Butler to the World.
*Zelenskys government had been scrutinised for it's anticorruption measures, this FCPA blog looks at the success of Ukrainian a-c initiatives:
*Francis Fukuyama gives his take on Ukraine and his ideas on continuing loss of freedoms around the world.
*Overview from Matthew Stephenson at the GAB: https://globalanticorruptionblog.com/2022/02/25/a-brief-note-on-russias-war-against-ukraine/
*A TED interview with Ian Bremmer, who gives a detailed and fascinating breakdown of 'What the War in Ukraine Means for the World Order. '
